Popping up for Spring: The Howe Collective

***UPDATE – This event has now been cancelled***

The Howe Collective will be hosting a Spring Pop up shop to share their amazing hand-made wares with discerning shoppers in Fife.

The March event, in Cupar, is one of a series planned this year and represents a collaboration between a group of five artisan companies – fifeseaglass (who produces pictures made from sea glass and sea pottery), hand bookbinder Florrie, Kitty Lou Craft Supplies, Leaf Natural Food Wraps and Julie Campbell Illustration.

Su, of Florrie, said: “This is the second one we have done – we had one last November too. It was a brilliant experience for all of us – so much skill sharing that we felt we learnt a lot and we had such brilliant support from the community in Cupar.”

The collaboration began when Kim, of Leaf, and Katherine, of Kitty Lou, hired the Enlighten hub for the first event then invited their pals Su, Katy, of Fife Seaglass, and illustrator Julie to join in.

Su added: “We knew from the start we wanted it in a shop format, rather than individual stalls and were delighted when it all came together so well.

Their venue – the Enlighten Hub – is run as a social enterprise by Alvina Menzies, who rents the space out to a variety of groups who work to benefit positive mental health. The group of friends working together on handmade crafts were an ideal fit.

The Howe Collective will host their Spring Pop up shop in Cupar’s Enlighten Hub at 23 Bonnygate on March 20 and 21 between 10am and 6pm each day.
